Negreanu is a professional poker player born July 26, 1974 in Toronto, Ontario Canada. He is the son of Romanian immigrants, who settled in Canada in 1967. In 1997 he began his winning streak, taking control of two events at the World Poker Finals at Foxwoods, earning the tournament’s Best All-Round Player title and $133,600. Both the Daniel Negreanu book and Negreanu’s poker player profile will tell you he became the youngest WSOP winner in history in 1998, a record he held until 2004.

The professional poker player has been named Cardplayer Poker Player of the year, is a repeat WSOP winner with four bracelets, and millions of dollars in tournament earnings. He went pro early, building up his bankroll by the time he was 21, so there was no need for him to play in a satellite poker tournament to enter big events. He is well known for his ability to outplay opponents after the flop.

The book came a year after Hold’em Wisdom for All Players, Negreanu’s first book, published in 2007.

Besides books, Negreanu’s poker player profile shows that he is featured as the teacher for the Poker School option on the videogame Stacked. He has written over 100 articles for Cardplayer Magazine, and tutored on the Web as part of Poker School Online. He has also played poker on various TV shows, and served as commentator and stand-in host on Ultimate Poker Challenge.

Negreanu was always popular among his fans, and he remains as part of the poker elite. He spends his spare time at home playing pool and videogames with his friends. He is also a keen golfer, and plays for high stakes against other poker players.
